Installation:
STEP 1
The metal frame is placed in the opening of the gypsum-board and it is screwed. Then, the space between the two surfaces is filled with acrylic silicone.
STEP 2
Silicone residues are cleaned from the metal frame with a sponge.
STEP 3
The surface is covered with stabilizer, and it is painted with any kind of paint. The gaps that are created on the joint are filled with compound.
STEP 4
The surface is rubbed with sandpaper until it becomes smooth and then it is painted.Instructions of Spatuling Metal Frame:
1. After cleaning the surface of any dust, the metal frame of the door is placed in the plasterboard opening and screwed.
2. Fill the aluminum and plasterboard gap with a layer of putty (Uniflot).
3. Immediately afterwards, while the putty is still fresh, a strip of fiberglass (TFO) is placed over it and allowed to dry.
4. When dry, place another thin layer of putty on top of the fiberglass and let it dry.
5. Sand the surface with good quality sandpaper until smooth.
Finishing Process Method
Option 1:
• Light rubbing with a fine sandpaper
• 2 coats paint with a roller (sponge)
Option 2:
• Plastic primer
• 2 coats paint with a roller (sponge)
How to Order
By following the example below, you will be able to order the correct product:
• Let’s say the access opening is 29cm x 38,5cm. This is the dimension where the order should be given to us.
• The opening in the gypsum board where the access panel will be placed will be 30cm x 39,5cm. It will be 1cm larger than the original dimension.
